Post-Secondary Instructor Certification

For information on the courses required to obtain the Post-Secondary Instructors Certificate awarded by the Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, please visit the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador website: https://www.aesl.gov.nl.ca/postsecondary/instructorcertification.html

A student requiring Education courses for the Post-Secondary Instructors Certificate should contact the Office of Academic Programs at least two months prior to the start of the semester. Access to these courses is based on availability and is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

You must be a current Memorial student to be eligible to register for these courses. If you are not a current student, you will need to submit an application online through Memorial’s application page.

When submitting the online application, you should select the admission category applicable to you, other than NON-DEGREE Student, followed by “Unsure (Undergraduate)” under the section “area of interest” and “Unsure Program – General Admission".

You will also need to submit a letter from your employer to edadmiss@mun.ca indicating that you are currently employed as an instructor. This will allow you to register for the required courses. If you require assistance registering for courses, please contact muneduc@mun.ca
