They did it the 'write' way
Each year the Canadian Music Educators’ Association hosts a national essay competiton. In 2019, two of our students won!
Kiera Galway won first place in the Dr. Franklin Churchley Graduate Essay Competition for her essay, “Nesting Dolls, nested places: Making meaningful connections among music education, place and identity”.
Emily Finch, one of our undergraduate students, won second place in the Kenneth Bray Undergraduate Essay Competition for her essay: “Roots, rituals and risks: Promising practices for engaging trans* students in secondary choral settings”.
