Information session on the Terra Nova Young Innovator Award program

The Vice-President (Research) office is hosting an information session for faculty who are interested in applying for the Terra Nova Young Innovator Award (TNYIA).

This funding reflects a shared commitment by Suncor Energy Inc and Memorial University to enable exceptional young faculty to be adventurous in their research, to explore novel ideas, and to be creative in the way they investigate important research issues.

Applicants must have received their first university faculty-level appointment not more than 10 years prior to the competition deadline and should be full-time faculty members.

Faculty members who are eligible for the TNYIA and have a specific research proposal that is particularly innovative and has real potential to make a significant impact on society are invited to a n information session on Monday, Mar. 10th from 2-4 p.m. in the Junior Common Room in R. Gushue Hall.

Members of the TNYIA 2013 selection committee will be reviewing the revised terms of reference for the award and highlighting aspects of the application process.  Two recipients of the award will be presenting on their successfully funded research proposals.

The terms of reference for the TNYIA can be found on the Memorial website http://www.mun.ca/honours/research/tnyia/tnyia-terms.php
