Memorial University has a variety of leave options for employees to assist with work-life balance, illness, injury, various life changes and to support the overall employment experience. Leave Administration policy

At its meeting on March 15, 2018, Memorial’s Board of Regents approved a new Leave Administration policy which is effective April 1, 2018. This new policy and its related procedures consolidate within them elements of the Deferred Salary Leave Plan, Leave Without Pay, Recognizing Previous Service for Determining Annual Vacation Entitlement and the Work-Flex Program policies. When an employee is appointed to a position at Memorial, they may apply to have previous service with the university, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, and other provincial legislated bodies recognized for determining annual leave entitlement.
