Management Development Program

In April, Human Resources and its Learning and Development area recognized the achievement of 22 participants from the St. John’s campus who received certificates for successfully completing of the Management Development Program (MDP) at Memorial. We would like to extend warm congratulations to each of you. This achievement is yours and you should feel proud and prepared to take on the next phase in your career progression.

The participants from this particular program were chosen to participate as professional leaders at Memorial who lead and provide managerial support to others.

MDP is part of HR's emphasis on building leadership capacity at Memorial. Committed to furthering the development of our people, HR's Learning and Development group designed this program to enhance the skills and meet the learning needs of managerial employees. Learning and Development collaborated with many key stakeholders to bring the program to life.  The program consists of various distinct learning components including: legacy leadership, problem solving and decision making, conflict and change management, mental health first aid, diversity awareness and strategies for building high performing teams.

By providing an opportunity to develop relationships across units this program has helped build and strengthen the Memorial University community.

Human Resources is dedicated to providing high quality opportunities for employee and career development. The department looks to continually improve our culture of excellence in a supportive and productive environment. The number of applications for this new program was overwhelming and demand for development opportunities continues to be high.

Again, congratulations to the 2015-2016 MDP participants.  We wish you continued success in your career.
