Annual pension plan statements

Employees at Memorial will begin receiving their 2013 annual statement for the university pension plan over the next few days.These are personal, confidential statements that show each employee the estimated benefits they will be entitled to upon retirement based on information maintained by the Department of Human Resources as at December 31, 2013.

Plan members who have received pension statements in the past will notice that this statement is new and presents pension information in a different and more comprehensive format. In addition to the printed statements, employees will be able to access their statements electronically on the pension website under the Employee Self Service tab at http://my.mun.ca. Pension statements for both 2012 and 2013 will be posted to the site.

Please review your statement information along with the document “Things to Keep in Mind As You Read Your Memorial University Pension Plan Statement” (this document is included in each statement package). Employees with questions about their statement can contact the Benefits and Pension Office at pensions@mun.ca or call 864-7406 to speak with a Pension and Benefits Specialist.
