The Department of Human Resources at Memorial is responsible for a number of policies, procedures and guidelines relating to human resources. The university policy framework is followed for the development and implementation of policies/procedures.
Cannabis in the Workplace
The Government of Canada has announced that cannabis for non-medical use will be legalized on Oct.17, 2018.
Memorial has a duty to maintain a safe workplace and employees are required to show up fit to work. This will not change with the legalization of cannabis. For information on cannabis in the workplace at Memorial, please click here.
