Call for applications for prestigious Nature Masterclass

Learn how to get published in top journals from Nature journal editors.

Memorial is hosting a Nature Masterclass workshop in scientific writing and publishing during Research Week 2019. The workshop will be presented by two editors from the Nature journals. The editors will discuss techniques for developing scientific writing skills and the editorial processes at top journals – giving a first-hand insight into what it takes to get published at top journals.

The workshop is open to faculty, staff and graduate students at Memorial. Space is limited; apply today!

Interested in attending?
Researchers interested in attending the masterclass must submit an application. The Office of the Vice-President (Research) will cover their cost of participation. Applications will be accepted through the Memorial Researcher Portal. Researchers should complete a new “General Use Application” in the Researcher Portal at https://login.mun.ca/cas/login?service=https://romeo.mun.ca/Romeo.Researcher/login.aspx.

If you do not have a Researcher Portal Account, please visit https://rpresources.mun.ca/request-romeo-account/.

Researchers will have to upload an unpublished abstract and a five-page CV highlighting their last five years of publications and other pertinent details. Under the “Project Description” tab in the portal, applicants should indicate which session (or both) they would like to attend. They should also hold these dates and times in their calendars.

The deadline for the submission of applications through the Researcher Portal is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Applicants will be notified by Nov. 1.

The masterclass will take place on:

  • Date: Wednesday, Nov. 13 and Thursday, Nov. 14
