SciVal information and training session

Members of the university community are invited to attend an information and training session focused on SciVal, an online tool offering quick, easy access to the research performance of over 14,000 research institutions from 230 nations around the world.

Guillaume Warnan, a senior consultant with Elsevier Limited -- a global information analytics business specializing in science and health that developed SciVal – will be on Memorial’s St. John’s Campus for the session.

SciVal is beneficial because it allows researchers to visualize their performance, understand research trends and discover opportunities for partnerships.

The first hour of the session will include an introduction to SciVal, including:

  • Data source, Scopus
  • Product structure
  • Main use cases
  • How to log-in

The second hour will include a deeper dive and how to use the product, including:

  • How to navigate
  • Key metrics and main features
  • Q&A session
