Save the date: Women+ in academia event on Oct. 16

A first-of-its-kind event centered on the experiences of women in academia will bring together a diverse group of colleagues from across Memorial’s campuses.

Women+ in academia: Building community and shaping change will take place on Friday, Oct. 16, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 pm.

It's being held both in person, in the Core Science Facility (CSF), room 1302 on the St. John’s campus, as well virtually.

This event is for women, non-binary and gender-diverse faculty members and postdoctoral fellows. It will focus on their challenges at different career stages, learning about available supports, building networks and mentorship connections, and identifying actionable recommendations to advance their success at Memorial.

The session is brought you in part by the Office of the Vice-President (Research and Innovation) in collaboration with a strong network of women+ colleagues from across Memorial’s many campuses and academic units.

Registration is free but in-person participation is limited. Please register by Monday, Oct. 5.
