Pair of institutional policies receive board approval

On Feb. 25, Memorial University’s Board of Regents approved two policies sponsored by the Office of the Vice-President (Research and Innovation).

The Canada Research Chairs (CRCs) Administration and Management replaces the former Reallocation, Renewal and Reduction of Canada Research Chairs (CRCs) at Memorial University.

The board also endorsed an updated Intellectual Property (IP) policy.

Both policy updates were informed by feedback from the university community, Memorial’s Research Strategy 2023-28 and operational realities from Memorial’s administrating units: Research Initiatives and Services (for the CRC policy) and the Research Innovation Office (for the IP policy).

The updated policies are available here.
