Every year, Memorial University will select up to 10 faculty members to spend four weeks in residence on Fogo Island to complete the writing of a significant manuscript which disseminates the results of a major research project, or to complete work on a major work of artistic creation.  The deadline for faculty members to apply for the Fogo Island Research Fellowship Program is May 15, 2015. The program supports the recommendations outlined in Memorial’s Strategic Research Intensity Plan 2014-2020 and the university’s goals for doubling research and scholarly output by the end of 2020.
