Information sessions: Learn more about NSERC funding programs -- Alliance Grants and Innovation Links

Members of the university community are invited to attend the following information sessions to learn more about a pair of unique funding programs delivered by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC):

Alliance Grants session
Representatives from NSERC will provide a detailed presentation on the Alliance Grant, which encourages university researchers to collaborate with partner organizations, which can be from the private, public or not-for-profit sectors. These grants support research projects led by strong, complementary, collaborative teams that will generate new knowledge and accelerate the application of research results to create benefits for Canada. The presentations will outline Alliance grant’s objectives, types of partner organizations whose cash contributions can be recognized in NSERC cost-sharing calculations, eligible criteria, the review process, expected decision timelines and examples of research partnership collaborations.

Innovation Links session
Representatives from NSERC will provide a detailed presentation on an university/college funding program entitled the Innovation Links grant. This grant is intended to develop and strengthen research links between colleges, universities and businesses to accelerate the development of promising technologies and promote their commercialization into the Canadian marketplace. Direct project costs are shared by the company partner(s) and the Innovations Link grant. Projects may span up to three years in duration.
