Federal funding program information sessions

Updated March 13: Please note, the following information sessions are postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date.

 A series of information sessions taking place later this month will provide insight and updates on specific funding programs delivered by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

Grenfell Campus session:

An information session -- Building Partnerships for Research and Engagement – is taking place on Monday, March 23, 1:30-5:30 p.m., in the atrium of the Arts and Science Building.

Gordon Deveau, NSERC’s deputy director in Atlantic Canada, and Dominique Maillet, an NSERC research and innovation development officer, will deliver updates on Alliance Grants. Stefani Di Gaetano and Lina Crompton, program officers with SSHRC, will discuss Partnership Grants.

There will also be presentations from businesses, community organizations and Grenfell Campus faculty members.

Members of the Grenfell Campus community are invited to attend.

St. John’s Campus and Marine Institute sessions:

On Wednesday, March 25, Mr. Deveau, Ms. Maillet and Jennifer Bean, NSERC’s acting director of regional development, will deliver information sessions focused on NSERC’s Alliance Grants program on the St. John’s Campus and at the Marine Institute.

Members of the university community are invited to attend the following sessions:

  • 10-11:30 a.m., room EN-4002, in the S.J. Carew (Engineering) Building, St. John’s Campus; and
  • 1:30-3 p.m., room 3018A, at the Marine Institute
