Sewing Wisdom with the Elders, Aunties and Uncles Program

Please note: this event takes place 6:30-8 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time

Join us for an evening sewing session with Heather Angnatok, program coordinator for the Elders, Aunties and Uncles Program.

Taking place at the Labrador Campus Library, this session offers a unique opportunity to learn the intricate process of crafting sealskin beaded moccasins.

Through Heather’s guidance, you’ll learn how sewing and other art forms embody Indigenous knowledges and serve as a vital form of wisdom, passed down through generations. Come share stories, learn from each other, and celebrate this rich tradition with new friends.

Light refreshments will be provided for in-person participants.

Join this event in-person in the Labrador Campus Library or via Webex.
