Roundtable Discussion on Preserving and Enhancing Memorial University's Contribution to Knowledge and Culture

The following talk is part of Research at the Centre of the Edge…a speaker’s series highlighting the work of Memorial’s Royal Society of Canada’s Fellows and College Members.

Please join us for an upcoming roundtable discussion on Preserving and Enhancing Memorial University's Contribution to Knowledge and Culture.

Public universities play a critical role in the production, free and open discussion, and mobilization of evidence-based knowledge through research, teaching, service and public engagement. Memorial University has a special obligation to help meet the knowledge needs of current and future generations in Newfoundland and Labrador. Its members also contribute in significant ways to national and global efforts to understand and respond to multiple and diverse societal, health and environmental challenges in the world around us.

This roundtable discussion is intended to start a conversation about how Memorial can preserve and enhance its contribution to knowledge, where and how this might be vulnerable, and what it would take to enhance that contribution in the future.

The event is open to all members of the community.

Bring your lunch and choice of beverage and join the conversation.
