Keith Bailey      

Keith Bailey has been a pharmacist for over twenty years and graduated from Memorial University in 1996 with a B.Sc. Pharm. He also completed his MBA from Memorial University in 2007. He has been active in the profession in many roles including Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board, President of the Pharmacists Association of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Board of the Canadian Pharmacists Association. He is a regular lecturer at Memorial University’s School of Pharmacy and currently owns a Shoppers Drug Mart in metro St. John’s.

Dr. Hoan Linh Banh

Dr. Hoan Linh Banh is an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Department of Family Medicine. She has extensive experience teaching therapeutics and has supervised numerous undergraduate pharmacy student research projects. She has also served as a pharmacy clinical coordinator and clinical pharmacy specialist in both Canada and the USA. She has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma.

Carla Dillon

Dr. Carla Dillon obtained a Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) from Memorial University and completed a Pharmacy Residency program and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Toronto. She held several faculty positions at Memorial University before moving to the University of Otago in New Zealand where she is currently Head of the professional practice skills team. Dr. Dillon has practiced pharmacy in community, family practice, and hospital settings. She also has extensive experience as an educator, preceptor, and researcher and has developed numerous courses, workshops, and training sessions for pharmacists and pharmacy and medical students.

Dr. Scott Edwards

Dr. Scott Edwards is the Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Specialist with the Cancer Care Program in St. John's, Newfoundland and Assistant Professor with Memorial University. He completed a Bachelor of Neuroscience and Pharmacy at Memorial. He completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Washington. He completed a Master's degree in Oncology from Newcastle University. He is active in research in the area of chemotherapy toxicities and supportive care. He is passionate about teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Jennifer Godsell

Dr. Jennifer Godsell is a community-based pharmacist and owner of Kittiwake PharmaChoice in New-Wes-Valley, NL. She obtained a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from Mount Allison University in 2006, a Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) from Memorial University in 2011 and her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Colorado in 2019. She sits on the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board (NLPB) and is also a certified geriatric pharmacist, a certified diabetes educator and has a certificate in pharmacogenomics.

Dr. Christopher Louizos

Dr. Christopher Louizos received his Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) degree from the University of Manitoba in 2004 and his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Florida in 2015. He worked as a community pharmacist, staff pharmacist, and pharmacy manager before transitioning to academia. He was an instructor at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Manitoba for 10 years teaching primarily in the Pharmacy Skills Lab stream. He is currently a Quality Assurance and Field Officer at the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba in Winnipeg.

Dr. Bradley Mitchelmore

Dr. Bradley Mitchelmore has a Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) from Dalhousie University (2007), completed a hospital residency at The Ottawa Hospital (2008), and completed a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (2012) at the University of Toronto. He is currently Senior Science Manager with the Global Health and Guidelines Division at the Public Health Agency of Canada in Ottawa. Dr. Mitchelmore’s previous roles have included: Manager, Clinical Research at the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), Clinical Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Alberta, Manager, Pharmacare Business Solutions with the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, and various clinical pharmacy positions in critical care and primary care. He continues to practice part-time in community pharmacy.

Dr. Catherine Orr

Dr. Catherine Orr received her Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) from Memorial University and her Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Florida. She completed a hospital residency at the London Health Sciences Centre in 2014. She has 4 years of experience in pediatric oncology and is currently a relief pharmacist in Quebec as well as a casual pharmacist at the Correctional Services of Canada. Dr. Orr has been a lecturer at the University of Waterloo and the University of Western Ontario and has been a preceptor in pediatrics and pediatric oncology at London Health Sciences Centre.

Dr. Linda Ou

Dr. Linda Ou obtained her Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) from Memorial University (2015), followed by a general hospital pharmacy residency at Windsor Regional Hospital (2016), a Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Toronto (2019), and a Master of Science (Epidemiology) with a focus in pharmacoepidemiology from McGill University (2019). She currently works as a clinical pharmacist in general cardiology and the cardiac intensive care unit at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and is a clinical instructor of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. She has experience in both hospital and community pharmacy and has been a guest lecturer and pharmacy skills instructor at Memorial University. She continues to maintain her passion for research and teaching while providing direct patient care.

Noelle Patten

Noelle Patten is a pharmacist and certified health executive. She graduated from Memorial University School of Pharmacy in 2006. Noelle worked in community pharmacy for the first eight years of her career, with a focus in treatment of opioid use disorder. Noelle started working in regulatory affairs in 2014 and went on to complete a Masters of Health Management in 2018 at McMaster University and a Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation through the Canadian College of Health Leaders in early 2019. She currently holds the position of Associate Registrar at the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board and is responsible for development and oversight of the regulatory body’s quality assurance program. Noelle currently serves on numerous provincial and national committees related to health professional education, standards for sterile and non-sterile compounding, standards for continuous quality improvement/medication safety, and treatment of opioid use disorder. She is also a guest lecturer at the School of Pharmacy.

 

Noelle has been recognized as a leader in her field; she has been a recipient of the Magnum Opus Award (2014), the Wellspring Pharmacy Leadership Award (2015), the McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award (2018), and the School of Pharmacy Alumni Achievement Award (2018). Noelle’s current professional interests revolve around optimizing the practice of pharmacy professionals and their role in improving the health system’s performance. She has studied quality and safety from a health system and pharmacy practice perspective and is eager to continue her learning in this field

Justin Peddle

Dr. Justin Peddle is the Professional Practice Consultant for Pharmacy with NL Health Services. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 2006, a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Epidemiology Research in 2010, a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2012, and a Master of Education in Post-Secondary Studies in 2020. As a hospital pharmacist, he has practiced in areas such as infectious diseases, home infusion, critical care, mental health and addictions, and medical oncology. Having also worked in community and academia settings and serving on numerous professional committees over the years, he is always excited about the many opportunities that can be found in this profession.

Travis Warner

Travis Warner is a clinical pharmacist working in Cardiology and Critical Care at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. He assisted in the development of the PharmD curriculum at the U of M and is teaching Cardiology content in the undergraduate program at the U of M. He has taught and precepted numerous post-graduate PharmD students (particularly in his Cardiology practice) and has been involved in various Cardiology-related committees, work groups, and projects within the hospital, health region, and province (of Manitoba). He has also been actively involved in numerous national activities. Travis received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.

Lisa Zhu

Dr. Lisa Zhu is a clinical pharmacist working in Ambulatory Nephrology at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario. She has served in many pharmacy, teaching, and preceptor roles in the last 12 years, including experience as a pharmacotherapy course coordinator and online course coordinator at the University of Toronto and a Pharmacy practice residency preceptor in Ambulatory Nephrology. She has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Toronto and has completed a Designing Learning course through the University of Calgary that focused on the principles and theory of instructional design.
