Memorial’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider will change from TELUS Health to GreenShield effective July 1, 2025.
TELUS Health EAP Services will be fully accessible to Memorial employees and retirees until June 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Anyone receiving counselling services with TELUS Health as of June 30 can continue with their treatment until natural case closure and will not be affected by the July 1 changeover.
The Department of Human Resources and the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre (SWCC) are challenging the Memorial community to move during the month of June. The Move Memorial Challenge encourages students and employees to work in teams of up to six people to complete 1,035 KM or 1.5 million steps in just 30 days (for a team of six people, this works out to 8,300 steps per person per day! The challenge starts on June 1 and ends June 30.
On the April 3, 2025 pay period, incorrect deductions were taken for Long Term Disability (LTD), health, dental and travel for active employees. On the April 17, 2025 pay period, a credit for the over deduction will be issued for health, dental and travel. An update on the refund for LTD, which will vary based on an employee’s annual salary, will be provided shortly.
