Professional Skills Development Program (PSDP)
Memorial University offers a number of career-related programs to help improve your knowledge of the Canadian job market and prepare you for a successful career. The programs and events listed below are offered by the Internationalization Office in partnership with Career Development (Student Life) to help you enhance your employability skills, practice networking, and prepare for your job search.
Professional Skills Development Program (PSDP)
Are you an international student interested in professional and personal development? Consider joining the Professional Skills Development Program (PSDP) through which you will be given the opportunity to develop the skills needed to succeed in the Canadian job market.
This 6-week program will explore the following topics at scheduled workshop times:
- Introduction to PSDP and Skills Identification
- Resume and Cover Letter Writing
- Career Exploration
- Job Searching, Networking, and LinkedIn
- Interview Skills
- Canadian Workplace Etiquette/Intercultural Communication
Selected students will also get the opportunity to participate in a paid micro-placement with a local company. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please register for PSDP through ORBIS by January 15th, 2023 at 11:59pm.
