SECRETARY (BAND LEVEL 3) 

Division of Population Health and Applied Health Sciences

Faculty of Medicine

(Full-time, Contractual to May 5, 2028)

DUTIES

Reporting to the Administrative Staff Specialist III, the successful applicant will perform secretarial duties requiring initiative, judgement, and confidentiality in support of the Division of Population Health and Applied Health Sciences. Duties include organizing and scheduling meetings; taking minutes; assisting with events and conferences; assisting with and preparing reimbursement claims, travel documents, internal requisitions, catering pre-approvals, and professional development claims; monitoring and maintaining the Division’s webpage and internal directories; replying in person, by telephone or email to inquiries from faculty, staff, students, and the general public; ordering office supplies; and performing other related duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (1-3 years) in secretarial work; supplemented by courses in business education, office administration or secretarial science; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Adobe is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Knowledge of the Division of Population Health and Applied Health Sciences would also be considered an asset. 

SALARY                                   $47,057- $55,196 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
