Intensive Academic English Scholar Program
The Intensive Academic English Scholar Program, a partnership between ESL, the Internationalization Office, and the School of Graduate Studies, provides students with 80 hours of ESL instruction, experience attending Canadian socio-cultural activities, and aids in matching students with potential Ph.D. and Master's supervisors at Memorial.

"I was at MUN as an Indonesian scholar. One of the programs is English class, held in the ESL department. I loved all parts of this class, especially the writing session and the support services provided by staff. ESL at MUN is a very good place to learn and improve your English skills. Beyond the classes, Newfoundland has beautiful scenery and can be enjoyed in your free time. Overall, MUN is very conducive to study in all aspects."

"I like this program as it helped me to improve my academic writing. This program did meet my expectations. The tutors helped me a lot in explaining what I should and should not do in my writing. They always went the extra mile in guiding me with my academic writing and my presentation skills."
