Wellness walk in memory of Mary J. Clarke

The second annual wellness walk in memory of Mary J. Clake will take place on Thursday, October 2.  

Ms. Clarke was a long-time devoted employee of Memorial University. Members of the Memorial community including faculty, staff, students, retirees, families and friends are encouraged and welcome to attend.

When: Thursday, October 2, 2014  

Time: Starting 11:30 a.m. Start time is flexible until 2 p.m. according to operational requirements.

Where: Long Pond. Alternate location in case of inclement weather is the track at The Works. Check in at the registration desk anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., near the splash facility (behind Coughlan College) or The Works. Check www.mun.ca/humanres/ on the day of the walk to confirm exact location.

Donations to the Mary J. Clarke Scholarship Fund gratefully accepted (pledge forms will be available if required)

About Ms. Clarke: Mary Clarke commenced work in the Department of Human Resources in September 1979 and retired in March 2012. During her career, Ms. Clarke led and participated in various significant changes at Memorial in the areas of compensation, job evaluation and recruitment. She was known as a pillar in many respects and had incredible determination and resilience.She freely gave of her knowledge and expertise and, over the years, was a mentor to many. Ms. Clarke's hard work and dedication exemplified excellence.
