Upcoming Retirement Planning Seminar
The Department of Human Resources is offering a retirement planning seminar for the St. John's and Marine Institute campuses on Tuesday, Feb.19, 2019, from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Science Building, room SN-2109.
Employees at any stage in their career who are interested in learning more about retirement planning are invited and spouses are welcome.
Topics of discussion will include the Memorial University Pension Plan, retiree group benefits, the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security benefits, financial planning, and retiree support through the Memorial University Pensioners' Association.
Registration is required and will be accepted on a first-come basis by completing the online registration form. When registering, please press the “Submit” button. Once successfully registered, participants will receive a confirmation e-mail.
Refreshments will be provided during session breaks; however, lunch is not included.
As this session will be taking place during mid-term break, participants are reminded that some of the concession locations on campus may be closed; however, food will be available for purchase in the University Centre.
Individuals requiring parking on campus can avail of meters or use pay and display parking.
A retirement planning seminar will also take place on Feb. 21, 2019 on the Grenfell Campus in room LC301. Information regarding registration for this session will be distributed to Grenfell faculty and staff in coming days.
