Memorial University is pleased to announce successful negotiations with the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) resulted in the signing of two collective agreements on May 22, 2014. These collective agreements involve Campus Enforcement and Patrol Personnel (NAPE Local 7803/1804) and Maintenance Support Staff (NAPE Local 7801).

These are four year agreements which expire, similar to other public sector groups, in March 2016.

"A tremendous amount of work and cooperation by both the university and the union went into these negotiations," said Stephen Dodge, director of Human Resources at Memorial. "We are pleased to conclude these negotiations and look forward to finalizing talks with other groups within Memorial soon."

Memorial is currently in negotiations with the university's remaining bargaining units to conclude discussions for the renewal of their collective agreements.
