100th Anniversary Event

The School of Social Work invites you to Celebrate Social Work with our 100th anniversary event Social Work Education at Memorial University: Celebrating the Past and Present, Reflecting on Future Directions.

This event will take place on Wednesday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Whale Atrium at Memorial University's Core Science Facility (CSF 1301/1302), St. John's campus. The full-day of programming will include panel discussions, a presentation on the history of social work in our province, research poster presentations, reflections from our donors and a reception and Alumni Social. 

Join for an hour, or the entire day. Note: online attendance is also an option (please register below so that we can email you the required link).

A note on parking: Unfortunately, we are not able to provide free parking on campus during the day for this event. Pay-per-use parking is available in lot 27, the parking garage directly across from our event venue, on level 1 and the perimeter of level 2, in addition to other areas on campus. However, for the evening social (from 4:30-6:30 pm) parking will be available on levels 2 and 3 of lot 27, the parking garage directly across from the event venue (tickets will not be issued in these areas after 4pm on the day of our event). If you require accessible parking to attend the event, please fill out the following form by Monday, March 9 at the latest.
