Designation of Fellow to the School of Graduate Studies: The designation of fellow is awarded in recognition of outstanding academic achievement throughout a graduate program.

Graduate Student Union Conference Aid: The Graduate Student Union provides conference aid monies for eligible graduate students.

NLCAHR Research Grants & Fellowships: Sponsored by the Newfoundland & Labrador Centre for Applied Health Research. Research grants include project grants, development grants, partnership grants, and visiting lecturer awards. Fellowships will support full-time scholars enrolled in a program related to applied health research issues at MUN.

Graduate Student Comprehensive Exams: The School of Graduate Studies award the grade of "Pass with Distinction" for PhD Comprehensive Examinations and for PhD thesis defences. This grade is reserved for students who perform with excellence in the assessment of all examiners and will appear on the transcripts of those scholars who achieve this honour.
