Mapping a network drive on a Mac

  1. Open “Finder” by clicking the icon on the bottom of the screen in the dock,
  2. From the top menu bar, click “Go” and then from the drop down, “Connect to server”
  3. From the Connect to server window. You need to enter the network address of the shared folder. Ex: smb://ServerName/SharedFolderName,
  4. Click “Connect” once the address has been entered. You may be required to enter your username and password to connect to it,
  5. Once the finder window opens with the network drive, highlight over the name of it and click and drag the icon to move it into the dock where it can be accessed easily.
