Mass email tools
There are several solutions for sending emails to a group of people:
Outlook client
The simplest method is to use your Outlook client. You can send emails to up to 200 recipients by entering their address in the bcc field. This works well when the list is temporary or easily managed by a small number of people.
Outlook contact groups
With a contact group, you can send an email to multiple people (e.g. project team, committee members, organizational unit, etc.). You can use a contact group to send the same message to multiple contacts without having to enter each contact separately in the message. The group will be saved in your Contacts folder. Groups that you create in your Contacts folder aren't available to other users.
For more information, go to Create a contact group in Outlook.
Online Learning (Brightspace)
Brightspace Course Mail allows you to email all students registered in your course. For more information, go to Learning Technology Index - Course Mail (Brightspace).
Distribution List
A distribution list is a collection of email addresses grouped under a single name, allowing a user to send an email to multiple recipients at once without having to enter each address individually.
To request a distribution list, visit Distribution List Request.
Campaigner
Campaigner is an email marketing platform designed to create, send, and manage email campaigns. Common use cases include sending newsletters and marketing events (e.g. register for an event). It is not intended as an internal communications tool. For more information, go to Campaigner.
