Artificial intelligence (AI) offers significant opportunities to enhance administrative processes and create efficiencies in the way we work. The innovative use of generative AI can better support the mission and business operations of the university. Members of the Memorial community should consider security, privacy, risk, responsibility and ethics in the use of AI. This guidance aims to provide a framework for the responsible and ethical use of AI.

Microsoft Copilot Chat

Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat is a generative AI tool available in Memorial’s Microsoft 365 environment. When signed in to Copilot Chat with your MUN Login account, the data you submit is automatically protected by Microsoft’s enterprise data protection. This means the data stays within Memorial’s Microsoft 365 environment.
