Siham Elkassem

Siham Elkassem is a BSW and MSW graduate of King’s University College at Western University. She currently works as a Child and Family Therapist for Vanier Children’s Services in London, Ontario.

Siham is an active Muslim community member and has assisted in many projects, including academic research, that help to build capacity from within the Muslim community and make connections to broader mainstream services.

Her clinical practice is based in anti-racist, decolonizing and justice seeking frameworks, with an expertise in Narrative Therapy. Siham’s current research areas of interest are in Critical Race Theory, anti-colonial and anti-orientalist thought, with a special emphasis on Islamophobia and Indigenous knowledges.
