Evan George
Evan George (MSW, RSW, CE) is a doctoral candidate in the PhD in Social Work program at Memorial University. He brings over a decade of experience in social work research, evaluation, and practice, primarily in the child welfare sector. Currently serving as a Supervisor in the Quality Assurance and Organizational Development department at the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa, Evan leads initiatives in performance measurement, program evaluation, and organizational improvement. He has also worked as a program evaluation and data analytics consultant across Ontario, supporting community organizations in using evidence to improve outcomes.
Evan holds a Master of Social Work from Lakehead University and is a Credentialed Evaluator with the Canadian Evaluation Society. His research interests include educational interventions for children and youth in care, trauma-informed practices in social work education, and implementation science in public services. He has taught courses in child welfare and social work research at both undergraduate and graduate levels and has published and presented research on trauma-informed classrooms, domestic violence, and youth voice in online spaces.
