School announces first Professional Associates

As part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of professional social work education, the School of Social Work is offering social workers who serve as field instructors the opportunity to be appointed as Professional Associates with Memorial University.

At today's Field Education Recognition event, the inaugural Professional Associates of the School of Social Work were announced. They are:

Lenora Barry
Major Marlene George
Tana Green
Ivy Lundrigan
Karen Pennell
Lynsey Soper-Thistle

This three year, renewable appointment enables field instructors to access the university’s library resources, which will support them in their contribution to the professional and educational development of social work students. Professional Associates will also be recognized and receive a certificate at the annual Field Education Recognition event, highlighted on the School's website, and invited to School of Social Work Signature Events.
