Rebecca Simms (BMus 2012) and Aiden Hartery (BMus 2011) have won 2016 Newfoundland and Labrador Arts and Letters Awards in the Senior Music category for their compositions. Ms. Simms won for her orchestral piece entitled "for pillars, gone,” which was performed by the MUN Chamber Orchestra. Mr. Hartery’s winning work was entitled "Images for Orchestra".

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to these two talented young composers.
