Facilities

The M.O. Morgan Music Building has two superb concert halls and a state-of-the-art electronic music laboratory. Linked to recording facilities, our concert halls are also equipped for high-end networked performance. The building features practice rooms with fresh air, large acoustically excellent rehearsal rooms, and a new fleet of Yamaha pianos. Students enjoy secure locker space and a comfortable student lounge. The Music Resource Centre houses our score and media collections overseen by a music librarian specialist and library assistant. Computers and worktables provide quiet study space just for music students. An excellent collection of music books and journals is housed on campus at the Queen Elizabeth II Library.

Situated nearby at the Arts and Culture Centre, our Research Centre for the Study of Music, Media and Place provides a library/seminar room, gallery for small group presentations, digital media editing facilities, and office space for ethnomusicology graduate students.
