Applications accepted until Oct. 3 for Terra Nova Young Innovator Award

Applications are currently being accepted for a prestigious $50,000 research award for talented emerging researchers.

The Terra Nova Young Innovator Award is presented to a Memorial faculty member on behalf of the partners in the Terra Nova oil field by Suncor Energy as operator.

It supports outstanding faculty members whose research is particularly novel and innovative and has the real potential to make a significant impact on society.

“The Terra Nova Young Innovator Award is a valuable stepping stone for our next generation of scientists and researchers,” said Dr. Richard Marceau, vice-president (research).

“I encourage Memorial’s emerging researchers, on each of our campuses, to consider applying for this honour. Memorial applauds Suncor Energy for its commitment for early career researchers here at our university.”

More information about the Terra Nova Young Innovator Award, including award criteria, is available online or through the Awards and Honours office.

Applications are due by Oct. 3.
