One-stop shopping: Enhancing research services to foster research success
Research Grant and Contract Services (RGCS) has made several enhancements to its online presence.
In addition to the already-launched Research Funding Opportunities Database and Researcher Portal, new webpages have launched outlining RGCS’ Pre-awards and Research Project Management (RPM) services. The pages contain detailed information ranging from how to apply for research grants to deadlines and compliance to tools and tips on managing a research project.
The RPM approach, a fairly new concept at Memorial, provides research teams with templates, processes and learning resources to aid researchers in the planning and delivery of their research projects.
The webpages articulate a one-stop shop approach while showcasing supports available to the university community, including Technology Transfer and Commercialization. A new micro site outlines the industrial liaison, technology transfer and commercialization services offered to the university community.
“The Technology Transfer and Commercialization group is the important interface between Memorial’s research community and its external partners and sponsors,” said Dr. Neil Bose, vice-president (research).
“Memorial plans to strengthen its progressive culture of technology transfer and commercialization that is aimed to promote social and economic benefits for Newfoundland and Labrador. The micro site will be expanded as new services become available.”
