NSERC information sessions

Representatives from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) are hosting a pair of information sessions on the St. John's Campus on Tuesday, May 8 for interested faculty and staff.

Date: Tuesday, May 8
Location: Room SN-2109, Science Building, St. John's Campus

Join Danièle Leroux and Jennifer Bean, NSERC program officers, for the following sessions:

Session one: NSERC Updates and Discovery 2017 Results
Time: 9-10 a.m. 
Details: This session will include an overview of the NSERC funding programs; updates on recent changes to funding programs and the application process; discussion of the results from the Discovery Fall 2017 competition; and a questions and answers period.

Time: 10-10:15 a.m.

Session two: NSERC Info-Session: How to prepare a Discovery Grant Application

Time: 10:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Details: This session will include an overview of the Discovery program and updates on changes to the application requirements and process. In addition, Memorial’s own NSERC Discovery evaluations group members will attend to help answer any questions Memorial faculty and staff might have regarding the application and the adjudication process.
