Invitation to Canada Foundation for Innovation town hall meeting

Members of the university community are invited to attend a town hall meeting hosted by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) on Thursday, Jan. 24, from 9-11 a.m. in room EN-4002 in the S.J. Carew (Engineering) Building.

In November 2018, CFI shared a discussion paper called Conversation on the future of Research and Research Infrastructure in Canada: role of the Canada Foundation for Innovation. With this paper, CFI invited stakeholders to answer a number of questions related to trends that are likely to shape how it approaches research and state-of-the-art infrastructure over the next ten to 20 years.

The purpose of the town hall meeting is to get feedback on the questions posed in the discussion paper on the subjects of convergence; international collaboration; core facilities; support for smaller universities and colleges; and equity, diversity and inclusion in research.

Those attending should complete a registration form by Jan. 15.
