Research Grant and Contract Services
Research Grant and Contract Services (RGCS) perform pre- and post-award administration in a “one-stop shop” approach. The pre-award component focuses on the review and approval of research grants and contracts, while the post-award component provides research project management and administrative support for large-scale research programs.
RGCS is the primary point of contact for all research funding applications except the Canada Research Chairs (CRC) and Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) programs. Strategic Institutional Research Initiatives (SIRI) is responsible for the above mentioned programs, as well as providing advanced support on other major institutional research programs.
ATTENTION: As of January 5, 2021, RGCS is piloting “work-from-home” for the 2021 calendar year. At this time, the best approach to reach your RGCS contact is via email. If you would like a phone call, please reach out via email to make arrangements. Going forward there will be additional options for reaching staff by phone. RGCS will continue to process MUN Researcher Portal applications as per standard practice. Researchers should consult their academic units and/or applicable REB offices regarding applications/files that require their involvement.
