Research Grant and Contract Services
Research Grant and Contract Services (RGCS) perform pre- and post-award administration in a “one-stop shop” approach. The pre-award component focuses on the review and approval of research grants and contracts, while the post-award component provides research project management and administrative support for large-scale research programs.
RGCS is the primary point of contact for all research funding applications except the Canada Research Chairs (CRC) and Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) programs. Strategic Institutional Research Initiatives (SIRI) is responsible for the above mentioned programs, as well as providing advanced support on other major institutional research programs.
ATTENTION: Please note that Research Grant and Contract Service’s (RGCS) staff are currently working remotely. The office is currently closed for walk-ins; however, all staff can be reached via email. RGCS will continue to process MUN Researcher Portal applications during the COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers are encouraged to frequently check here for updates to research administration procedures relating to COVID-19. Also, researchers should consult their academic units and/or applicable REB offices regarding applications/files that require their involvement.
