Chamber Music for Youth Program
The Chamber Music for Youth Program gives young people ages 9 to 18 the opportunity to make music in small groups. Our students are coached by MUN School of Music faculty and leading professional musicians from the community. In addition to improving their musical skills, chamber music helps young people learn independence and collaboration. Our program also connects students with like-minded friends and mentors.
The fee for our Winter 2020 term is $285 per student.
Placements for new students will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020. Students should perform whatever brief musical selection they feel represents their playing well. Placements help our coordinators form groups of students of similar ages and abilities.
Groups meet with their coaches for one hour on Sunday afternoons from January 26 through April 19. Groups are placed in one of the following weekly meeting times -- 12:00-1:00pm or 1:00-2:00pm.
Our final concert will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 1:00pm.
All events take place at the MUN School of Music.
