There are over 180 International students with a spouse and/or children in the IO Family program at Memorial University.
With any changes in life, there are adjustments to be made. As a result, supports are available to assist international students arriving with their families to settle into a new home.
The Internationalization Office Family Program can provide information on:
- Family health care
- Schools for children
- Daycares for children
- Family tax benefits
- Work and volunteer opportunities for spouses
- ESL opportunities for spouses
- Local community supports and services
- Parenting resources
The Family Advisor can also provide support for families who have personal, financial, or other family concerns. We also provide regular programming for international students and their families.
Drop by the Internationalization Office at Corte Real, room CA-2007 to speak with an advisor, or contact the Family Advisor, Camila Fujiwara if you have any questions or concerns.
