Groups must be booked at least 1 week in advance to receive the group discount. Most groups book 1-2 months in advance to guarantee their preferred date.

Tours

Adult Groups 
  • Price: $9/person for 10 or more people, ages 18+
  • Tour guide is optional, with the cost of $60/guide/20 participants/hour
  • Bus parking will be reserved
  • One payment is to be taken at the time of your visit 

 

The general guided garden tour covers the Garden’s history, the basics of gardening in Newfoundland and a tour of most of our flower gardens. You may also book one of these themes:

  • Bird Watching
  • Native Wildflowers
  • Tree Identification
  • Wild Edible Plants
  • Newfoundland Ecology
  • Vegetable Gardening
  • Composting
  • Vermicomposting

 

Family Groups 
  • Price: $9/person for 8-20 people, for all ages
  • Tour guide is mandatory, and the price is included in a 1-hour tour
  • Additional guided tour time at cost of $60/hour
  • Bus parking will be reserved
  • One payment is to be taken at the time of your visit

Family programs can be booked with us to cover a general tour or a specific theme. We are happy to include story-time, songs, duck feeding, arts & crafts, meeting the critters, and games upon your request. All programs are held primarily outdoors and would include a walk through some of our gardens and trails. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have a specific theme you would like covered, and we will try to accommodate your request.

For all Group Tours

Larger groups may be split into smaller groups, with each one receiving a guide (if required or requested). Additional guide fees will apply for adult groups.

Smaller groups may also book a tour, however, please note:

  • Adult groups for fewer than 10 people will pay general admission + $60 guide fee.
  • Family & Youth groups for fewer than 8 people will pay $72.

Our trails are wheelchair accessible. Please discuss your group’s needs with your booking representative.

All tours and programs are mainly held outside, and will go ahead unless you choose to cancel. MUN Botanical Garden reserves the right to cancel programs if they feel there is a safety concern.
