Bachelor of Social Work student supports Connections for Seniors

The School of Social Work's partner, the Centre for Social Enterprise, enabled Connections for Seniors to have student support through their Work Experience in Social Enterprise initiative, during winter and spring 2020.

Bachelor of social work student Merissa Thorne (Class of 2021) joined Connections for Seniors for a part-time position as a support worker. The position was created to help with the delivery of services to the vulnerable older adults that Connections for Seniors work with in their various programs. That became particularly timely as a result of the events of 2020. See full story
