How Young Adult Cancer Canada Supports Those with Advanced Cancers Please join us for a presentation on the supports available through Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) with a specific focus on how the organization supports young people with metastatic disease or a poor prognosis. Young Adult Canacer Canada is based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and has been supporting those diagnosed with cancer before the age of 40 for 25 years.
YACC Program Manager, Dani Taylor, is a Master’s level Registered Social Worker with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW) and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She has worked in cancer care for the past decade, including roles in palliative care with The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Sunnybrook Health Sciences. She is also a qualitative researcher with a focus on young adult cancer.
