Research in Place

The Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Applied Health Research supports our provincial health system and community partners by providing ongoing decision support for COVID-19 - related health system inquiries and by continuing to connect with our many partners through CHRSP and our Research Exchange Groups. We've just re-located to new offices in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial (H-2840) where we support applied health research in a variety of innovative ways.

We are pleased to announce the publication of new book about the Newfoundland and Labrador health system, released this month from the University of Toronto Press. Part of a series on Canada’s provincial and territorial health systems, this publication provides a critical analysis of how the healthcare system has been developed and managed in Canada’s youngest province.

With our sincere thanks to our many partners for your contributions to our success, NLCAHR is pleased to send you our Read all about us. In spite of the past year’s many challenges, we are grateful to have so much to celebrate.

Researchers at the Contextualized Health Research Synthesis Program (CHRSP) at NLCAHR have published two new studies: an Evidence in Context Report on  home-based palliative end-of-life care and a Rapid Evidence Report on supported employment for people with severe mental illness.
