Dr. Danny Dyer obtained his Ph.D. in 2004 from Simon Fraser University, and started work at Memorial in 2005. His research interests are in the areas of graph theory and combinatorial designs. His main research interests surround the idea of motion in graphs, and he has published papers on graph theoretic problems involving cops and robbers, graph searching, and the watchman’s walk, amongst others. He also enjoys graph decomposition and graph labelling problems. He finds it funny writing about himself in the third person. He is also interested in the scholarship of teaching and learning, centered on teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level. He is a recipient of the President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching and the Association of Atlantic Universities’ Distinguished Teaching Award.
