Math 6210 Advanced Numerical Methods for Differential Equations
Description
Numerical solution of nonlinear hyperbolic PDEs by finite-volume methods; numerical solution of elliptic PDEs by finite-element methods; introduction to iterative methods for linear systems.
Prerequisites
Permission of the instructor. Normally, completion of Math 6201 (or equivalent material, including those listed as prerequisites for that course) is expected.
