Credential

Secondary School Certificate (Shahaadat itmaam al-diraasa al-thaanawiya al-aama)

Required subject areas

1. English
2. Mathematics^*
3. Laboratory Science^* (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
4. Social Studies or Modern/Classical Language^*
5. Elective

General admission criteria

Grade requirement

• Minimum average of 60% in the required subject areas, with a passing grade in each subject.

English language proficiency

• Proof of English language proficiency is required through a standardized test.

Competitive program entry (if applicable)

• Admission to some programs is competitive for a limited number of spaces. A higher admission average and/or supplementary information may be required as part of the faculty-specific admissions.

If you are currently in high school

When you apply (early acceptance)

• Current interim transcript, showing your current course registrations should be e-mailed as soon as they are available.
• Official English proficiency test result.
• Supplementary information required for competitive-entry programs may be required with your application.

When you complete your examinations (verified acceptance)

• Certified copy of your official, final Secondary School Certificate sent by post or courier to the Office of the Registrar. 

If you have completed high school and not attended a post-secondary institution

• Certified copy of your official, final Secondary School Certificate sent by post or courier to the Office of the Registrar.
• Official English proficiency test result.
• Supplementary information required for competitive-entry programs may be required with your application. 

If you have attended a post-secondary institution

• You are required to apply as a transfer student. In addition to the information provided above, please refer to our university or college transfer applicant requirements.
