Admissions

There are no prerequisites for MUSICAL ENGLAND and both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome. Since a solid foundation in music is essential to this program, all applicants must interview with Dr. Schiller to ensure that they are adequately prepared to do the program.

Application

Students are asked to fill out an Application form available on this website or from the instructor: Caroline Schiller, MU 2013, cschille@mun.ca. The form can be returned to the instructor via email or at her office.

Applications are currently past-due for Harlow 2019. Interested students should contact Caroline Schiller directly to check for availability.

Cost

Tuition fees are paid to Memorial University as usual and are not included in the overall program fee. Graduate students should check with their program officer to see whether the courses are eligible for their program of study. A program fee of approx. $5000 covers return airfare, transfers to and from Heathrow airport, five weeks accommodations at Memorial's Harlow Campus, five weekly evening meals, approximately twelve field trips, a student rail card, and entrance and concert ticket fees on the class related field trips. This includes a $500 pre-paid deposit. Exact costs will be confirmed in mid-February.

Scholarships

Several scholarships are available to help offset the cost of attending Harlow programs. The deadline for application for the Spring semester is the third week of February. Visit Memorial's Scholarships website for more information and online application forms.
