The Psychology Co-operative Education program is an option for students who are majors in the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Psychology programs or from the Bachelor of Science (Behavioural Neuroscience).
Students seek work placement opportunities that build on the Psychology curriculum and enhance their learning.
Memorial’s undergraduate Psychology program provides students with a solid foundation in the study of behaviour and its biological basis.
Psychology co-op students can apply their skills in a variety of settings, including government, education, and the non-profit and private sectors in areas such as:
- research assistance
- laboratory support
- animal care
- market research
- human resources
- policy analysis
- public education
- program implementation
Psychology work terms are full-time, paid (according to the employing organization’s salary structure), and range from 12-16 weeks in duration. Psychology students are required to complete three work terms as part of their co-op program.
